Our job is to help you design a portrait session that best reflects your personality and passions while giving you an experience that you won’t forget. In this process, we capture your yearbook photo which will be a portrait you look back on for many years to come.

We wanted to share with our seniors some of our best tips for yearbook photos. Check it out!

Remember it’s a close up.

Most schools (at least in the Seattle area) require a true headshot for the yearbook. This means the size of your head will be half of the photo. This image is meant to focus on your face and smile!

Wear something non-distracting.

Because it’s such a close image, it’s important we can focus on your face. It’s best if we can see your neckline and if you avoid bulky shirts that cover your collarbone and neck. We also recommend wearing clothing that doesn’t have logos or branding. Shirts or tops that are solid colors or have minimal patterns work great!

We want it to look like YOU.

This portrait is a keepsake for many years to come! We want it to look like who you are right now in this season of your life. It’s important not to add lots of makeup or anything that will make you unrecognizable. You will want to look back on this photo and remember what you looked like on your best day!
