Class of 2026 - FAQs to Get Your Senior Started!
It’s hard to believe your student is almost a SENIOR! How does time fly so quickly?
Summer is the perfect time to photograph senior portraits, and while it may feel early, many of our seniors book their appointments before their junior year even wraps up.
To help you get started, we’ve put together answers to some of the most common FAQs!
1. When is the best time to schedule senior portraits?
While we photograph seniors year-round, we recommend scheduling your child’s senior portraits during the summer or early fall before their senior year starts. This gives you plenty of time to plan, select outfits, and receive the photos before yearbook deadlines.
2. How far in advance should we book the session?
It’s best to book your consultation and portrait session at least 4–6 weeks in advance. This ensures we have availability and enough time to prepare, giving you peace of mind that everything will be ready well before any deadlines.
3. How long does the senior portrait session take?
We offer three portrait session options, ranging from 30 minutes to 4 hours—there’s something for everyone! Regardless of which session you choose, we’ll make sure there’s enough time to capture a variety of looks and angles, so your senior has plenty of great shots to choose from.
4. Can my child change outfits during the session?
Yes, outfit changes are encouraged! Our most popular session allows for up to 3 outfit changes, giving your child a variety of looks to choose from in their final portraits.
5. Can we order prints of the senior portraits? Do you include digital files?
Yes! All of our clients receive both prints and digital copies. We offer a variety of print options, including albums, wall art, small prints, and even photo gifts that make perfect keepsakes or thoughtful giveaways.
6. How can we help our child prepare for their session?
Encourage your child to get plenty of rest the night before and avoid any drastic changes to their hair or skin right before the shoot. It’s also a good idea to bring a brush, makeup for touch-ups, and any accessories or props they’d like to include.
7. My child is nervous about posing/being photographed. Any advice?
First off, we want to assure you that this is completely normal! It’s our job as photographers to create a fun, comfortable environment that boosts their confidence. We’ll guide them through the session with gentle direction on posing to ensure they look natural, confident, and relaxed. Our goal is to help them shine and, most importantly, have fun!
Booking early ensures you get the best dates and plenty of time to plan a session experience that reflects your senior's vision and personality. Ready to get started?
